See, I do make posts. Sometimes. ANYWAY, the reason I’ve been so lazy about updating can be summed up in the five words I chose for a title. id software has brought back the glory days of playing Quake 3: Arena online for free with Quake Live. Quake Live is in Beta right now, but is open for everyone to join at http://www.quakelive.com.
If you’ve ever played a first person shooter online, you know the basics. But if you’ve never played the Quake series before, you might not be ready for the intensity and speed of the game. Here’s a fan made trailer that I found on YouTube that does a pretty good job of pimping the game’s features. I recommend you watch it in HD and full screen it for full awesomeness.
It’s a crazy amount of fun. The skill matching system keeps the game from being too difficult and should be a welcome addition for new players. If you’re awful, you get to play with the other really bad players instead of going up against some loser who does nothing but Quake Live all day.
